I recently purchased this gimbal called the SwiftCam M3L, an upgraded version of the SwiftCam M3 stabilizer for smartphones. With the newest model comes 3-axis auto-stabilization and support for attaching a tripod or extension pole, among other things. Overall it feels nicely built and comes with a velvet “esk” crying bag (I plan on buying some sort of hardcase for mine). The iPhone 6 &/or the iPhone 6 plus will require an additional weight (included) to balance the gimbal also the iPhone 6 plus will require you to swap out the thicker foam pad for a thinner foam pad (also included) to accommodate the larger phone size. I will post some video in the next day or so.
I also picked up a KMASHI 10000mAh battery back for emergency power on the go. For just under $15 on Amazon I am absolutely pleased with how well it works.

Good morning 2old4toys,
I am uploading a video to youtube now. My particular unit does not have the same pitch issues that yours is have the other thing I noticed is your motors seem to be quite a bit louder than mine. I shot this video on my Nikon P520 but, used my Blue Yeti for audio to compare the noise of the motors (or lack there of on mine).

On a second look of you video it also appears that you are not using the additional weight that came with the swiftcam for the heaver phones not sure if that will make a difference or not but I am indeed using the additional weight

thanks for your video. i picked one up because of your video. I’m using an iPhone 6Plus – replaced the foam and added 1 (20g) weight. It didn’t balance perfectly when off, os I taped on another 3-5g (aka, Canadian 1 dollar coin). Balances perfect. When I turn it on and start moving, it always (gradually) tilts to the right (clockwise). After shooting it can be tilted by as much as 20 degrees (actually doesn’t tilt if it’s off!). You have any experience in this or suggestions. Lastly, when you add the extra 20g weight, it no longer closes up properly for storage, correct (just making sure that I’ve done everything correctly).

Thanks for the videos. Do you think you could add some extra weight and get the iPhone to balance with an Olloclip attached? I have a 6 Plus and am thinking of using the newest Olloclip. Thanks.

Good evening Steve,
I am unsure of how much weight you could add before having any adverse reactions from the gimbal itself. I have found even with my iPhone 6 that it is much easier to balance without a case. It even costed me a couple of bucks ($118) when I accidentally dropped my naked iPhone due to this convenience.

I agree with Jeff. Because the camera is way at the end, you’ll need a lot more counter balance than just the weight of the Ollo. That could cause some extra strain on the gimbal. Do you know the weight of the clip? I think an extra 10-20g would be okay.
