So, I installed OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion today and I am happy to report that it seems to be running the same as it had in OS X 10.7 Lion. After I turned on dictation “located in your system preferences” I was pleasantly surprised that Dictation works in iWeb.
If you have more than 1 iWeb domain file you will need to use the iWeb Multi-domain tool. Here is the link:

Sorry, the dictation portion of the video is a little choppy. I need a new machine.

And if you haven’t got a 3rd party web host yet I would suggest IX Web hosting.
I have been using IX Web hosting for several years with little to no problems “usually the problem was something I did” and they have been quick to solve any issue I have come across. The have plans that start at $3.95 a mo (USD) and their customer service is top notch.

I was hosting my website on my Mac, and all was well in Lion. Now in Mountain Lion, the “web server” feature in Sharing (Prefs) no longer exists, and I can’t access my website anymore. Any thoughts? Security (Prefs) has the firewall on, but again no features to turn on/off web hosting.

On canyouseeme.org, my port 80 has a connection accepted. On Airport Utility my website hosting is pointing at 10.0.1.3 which is my computer’s address on the local network. But my computer still does not allow access to the file directory for the website… Error 403 Forbidden

To be honest, I didn’t really use that feature “I only played with it once or twice”. I am not sure if Apple moved that feature over to OS X Server or not. You might want to ask that question in the Mountain Lion section of the Apple Support Communities.
