A 6L6 or EL34 amp, this tone monster has more crunch than the captain!  30 watts Class AB switchable to 15 watts Class A, bring you some of the sweetest tones and subharmonics to ever grace your ears.  Two Eminence Swamp Thang speakers housed in a Void-Free Birch or Solid Poplar or Pine Cabinet provide very responsive attack, brilliant mids and highs, all the while laying down a bottom end that literally stomps the stage.

The Stage Stomper has made the rounds.  Our R and D consisted of building, touring and gigging, going back to the shop altering, then repeat.  In recent tours to Beale Street to gain impressions of the latest revision, we were welcomed with open guitar cases.  The Stage Stomper has two channels, a 3 band EQ with Boost, and Reverb.  This is not a Master Volume type amp.  Two volume controls, one for each channel allow great versatility and keep the simplicity of the design.  The Overdriven Channel (Channel 2), has a pre-gain level that allows adjustment from a very mild break-up to full high-gain tube overdrive.  An additional midrange "Presence" control provides adjustment of scoop that gets loaded into the EQ stack.  The EQ is a parametric three band that can be boosted using the front panel loaded switch.  The versatility of the EQ allows the player to dial in virtually any sound that he/she is looking for. In addition to great tonal quality, great lengths have been traveled to engineer a "no-parasitic loss" and "no-noise" preamp stage.  The result is an amplifier you can crank to "10" and hear no hum and hiss.  Nice.

The Stage Stomper features multiple impedance outputs for using extension cabinets, a half-power switch and foot-switch for channel and reverb control.  Of course, the same customization features are available in Tolex, Grill Cloth, baffle trim design, piping and so on.  We love the Swamp Thang speaker from Eminence, it is a perfect fit this amp circuit.  The Stage Stomper starts at $2500.  We'll get you one rolling very soon, give us a call. - Tim, BCA.

Sound Clips

How did we record these?  Glad you asked.  Using an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis guitar, with two Humbuckers, I played directly through the amp with absolutely no effects or gates or compressors of any sort- just a single instrument cable.  This particular guitar has only a volume knob so what you get is what you get.  I wanted to keep it as simple as possible to represent what the amp does, not the guitar. The "music" that I am playing is not intended to show you my mad guitar skills (HA, that would be the day), but instead is there to give you an idea of the tonal response and attack response of the amp.  I often play the same lick three different times because I am switching between the three different pickups settings.  You'll get the idea.  We will try to include some clips of different kinds of guitars in the future with the same settings as below.  Thanks for checking us out and I hope we can build you a great one soon!! - Tim, BCA
